GRASSHOPPER & EARTHWORM DISSECTION CLASSES:

Step into the world of animal anatomy. This lab introduces the student to external and internal systems of the earthworm and grasshopper, including respiratory, digestive, circulatory, and nervous systems. The student will develop techniques required for dissecting organisms, the basic use of a microscope and lab safety procedures. It’s a great way to start animal biology and a lot of fun.

**Classes March 13th @1:30-3:00p**

**Classes April 6th @6:30-8:00p or April 10th @1:30-3:00p**

--COST: $35.00 per lab (payable at the class), *Deposit payable per Paypal to order student supplies*

--CLASS SIZE: 6 Maximum

--PLACE: 333 Wisteria Court Richmond, KY

--AGES: 9 and up

*These laboratories are designed to be supplemental to homeschool classes and are taught from the aspect that animals are a wonderful creation by God. A short lecture and student interactive discussion will be included. Parent involvement is encouraged, however not required. Each student will be provided with a laboratory handout and the organism to dissect. We emphasize that the student gains a quality learning experience in a fun, non-stressful environment*

Teacher: Carl Redmond, (BS in Agronomy, MS and Phd. in Entomology from the University of Kentucky) and Research Specialist, currently working for the University of Kentucky Entomology Department. *16 years of laboratory and teaching experience*
